PARTY PICS

Who knows if the party was a success? It was complete chaos! We made marshmallow guns and attempted to shoot them, ate Chick-fil-a nuggets and fries, opened presents, ate cake and then played Cayden's dance game. Cayden's dancing game was their favorite thing. At the end of the party we played some of his music and they all danced until the music stopped. When the music stopped they froze. When the music started they began dancing again. This was a favorite part for the adults that were there also. I did get some hillarious video footage of these poor little church kids trying bust a move!!
Cayden said he had fun and he loved all his gifts from his friends. I guess that alone makes it a success.

Our Baby Is FIVE!!!

Cayden is five years old! Wow, how the time flies. What a joy he has been to have around- most of the time! (He has been especially challenging the past few days.) Does that come with the territory of parenting a five year old??? Nobody warned us!

Most of the time he is a very smart, independent, imaginative, mature (except for when bodily noises are involved), loving, and fun little guy. (He is also very stubborn and messy- the former he gets from his mom and the latter from his dad- but let's just focus on his good qualities!!!) He is a great big brother 99% of the time. That's pretty good odds considering he got outnumbered all at once. For the most part he's a good friend (he is still five though). He LOVES his gang that he "does life" with and we are fortunate enough to "do life" with their parents. He loves his church and has taken a great interest and ownership in it especially since remodeling the building.

The pictures I have included were the invitations to his birthday party. Larry M gave us the idea of making marshmallow guns and so we decided to go with an army man theme this year. We have the party all planned out in our heads but with ten kids ranging in age from three to five I'm sure it will not go at all as planned! We will post a picture or two from the party after the big event.

As I said earlier, all in all Cayden is a great kid with a few quirks. We have been blessed to know him and raise him. Thank you to everyone that plays a vital part in his life and that helps us "train him in the way he should go."
