Yep, it's official. Cayden has passed Kindergarten and will be in the first grade next year. We are very proud of him for getting perfect attendance. At the end of the year it became a real serious goal for him to make it. He did not want to miss any school. (We won't mention the fact that he had something like 12 tardies on the year!)
Cayden and his good buddy that he met in his class this year. They are like night and day opposites and that's probably why they like each other so much. (Although for the K-1 awards day they accidentally dressed alike)
Showing off his accelerated reader medal
Early in the year someone told him that he would get a trophy for perfect attendance. That was not exactly true. They mention it but don't make a big deal about it like we do in Salado. The kid wanted a trophy and we thought he deserved one. Being a coach we have access to lots of trophy guys so thank you Norman for getting this one done so quickly! (I know, we are dorks for getting it but like a teacher I work with said, "Heck, get him a trophy just for being your kid. Who cares what it's for.")
First year student with first year teacher. I think everyone had a great year and learned a lot!
Getting his certificates from his teacher, Ms. Kelley, at the kindergarten graduation.
