Happy Mother's Day

This picture sums up the experience of motherhood for Erica. She sat down on the couch to relax and let her feet soak in some bath oils. That did not last 30 sec. before Cooper wanted in on the action and of course Cutter had to follow suit. Erica lives each day as what a friend of ours described as a Opossum mom (her offspring always hanging on to her). Rare is a moment of quiet and solitude. The kids just love to be involved in whatever mom is doing. With her entourage following her every move Erica still manages to get more done than me on any given day. So Happy Mother's day Erica, thanks for being a great mom. Cayden, Cutter and Cooper couldn't be more blessed.
----------------------------------
To my mom - Happy Mother's day to you. I know that I don't communicate it near enough but I love you and am grateful that you are my mom. Your constant encouragement and prayers are still powerful even though I am "all grown up." God has blessed me in so many ways...one of the greatest is having you as my mom.
----------------------------------
To Retta (my mother-in-law) - Since there is not "Mother-In-Law" day I thought I would use today to say thanks for being a great mom-in-law. All of the classic mother-in-law jokes don't apply to you. You have welcomed me into your family from day one and I am grateful.

Happy Mother's Day to these three moms in my life.

Wheels!
The pic is a couple weeks old...but, here are the BIG BOY and BIG GIRL bikes that the twins are riding now (and the moment they first saw them.)The other pictures are of their first trip on their new rides. I guess you don't really appreciate it unless you have twins but there was something really cool about two kids riding their bikes for the first
time, together!

Rain drops keep fallin' on my head...
This past week central Texas has received more than its fair share of rain. Even some Memorial Day plans and events have been altered due to falling rain and rising water levels. However, the kids did not miss the opportunity to go outside one day and play in the rain. They had a blast. Thought you might like to see a few of the images I took while they played.Enjoy!
PS - Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day Erica! The kids are still a little too young (not for long) to post this themselves...but if they could, I am sure they would say something like this:Cayden: I have the best mom because she plays with me all the time. She makes me cool things like backpacks, marshmallow guns, camouflage birthday cakes, CD's with cool music and even a fort in the backyard. And she even likes the motorcycle game!
Cutter: My mom is the best because she "gets" me. She understands every word I say...sometimes she is the only one.
Cooper: My mom is the best because she makes my hair so pretty...and makes me pretty shirts...and buys me pretty dresses (all on sale)...and buys me pretty shoes...and let's me play in her make-up.
All 3: I love you mom...You are the BEST!
Scott: I agree with the kids. You are the best. It is incredible to watch you be a mom. You bring a rare combination of creativity, wisdom, and hard work to the equation. And I know you don't always feel this way...but you make it look easy. Thanks for being a great mom to 3 awesome kids. I love you!

To my own mom...
Happy Mother's Day. It is a blessing to have you as a mom. I know I was not and still am not the perfect son. But through it all you have always been there for me. Thanks for your never ending love.
I love you,
Scott
